Nilo advises clubs, athletes, agents, intermediaries and international sports federations and has successfully represented his clients in disciplinary, regulatory, contractual and doping disputes in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Basketball Arbitral Tribunal, FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber, FIFA Players' Status Committee, FEI Tribunal, FIA International Court of Appeal and other International Sports Federations’ decision-making bodies.
 
Nilo also advises on international transfers as well as handling contractual matters for agents, clubs and athletes, including formula one drivers and UEFA Champions League club winners.

Before founding Effori Sports Law in 2015, Nilo worked in Brazil for Biazzo Simon Advogados (2008 until 2012) as the head of sports litigation and from 2012 he worked in two English Law firms, Dentons and Mishcon de Reya in London.

Nilo is an Arbitrator at the International Panel at the Sports Resolution UK and also a lecturer at ISDE Barcelona for the Master in Sports Management and Legal Skills and at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca for the Master di I° livello in Diritto Sportivo e rapporti di Lavoro nello and UEFA Player Agent Program.
