The coach was without salary since April and decided to terminate his contract and start proceedings before the FIFA Players' Status Chamber (FIFA PSC)
Fabio, who had contract until the end of December is free now to find a new team and carry on his career.
Article 5 (1) of Annex 2 of the FIFA Regulations on Status and Transfer of Players allows a Coach to terminate his employment contract with just cause when there are two or more salaries outstanding.
The PS4 decision is still subject to appeal to the CAS.
