ESL Sports Law Secures Victory in CAS for Gilberto Fortunato Against Former Club

In its decision, the CAS panel upheld the FIFA DRC's ruling, emphasizing that the contractual condition imposed by the club was indeed in violation of Article 18.4 of the FIFA RSTP.

The panel reiterated that the validity of a player's contract cannot be contingent upon the grant of a work permit or visa.

ESL Sports Law is proud to have successfully defended Mr. Fortunato's rights and secured justice in this matter.

This decision reaffirms the principles enshrined in FIFA's regulations and underscores the importance of upholding contractual fairness in the football industry. We remain committed to advocating for the rights and interests of players worldwide.
